What the Q100 Quantum Board is for
A 100W single-board fixture carrying 218 Samsung LM301B diodes across a 280 × 210mm panel. Passively cooled with no driver housing in the light path, dimmable at the knob, and small enough to light a single tray, a breeding bench or a tissue-culture shelf. The entry point of a three-step board range that scales by adding boards rather than changing platform.
What you get
- 218 Samsung LM301B diodes on a single 280 × 210 × 70mm board.
- 100W draw, dimmable at the fixture knob.
- Passive board design — no fans, nothing in the airstream, nothing to service in a clean propagation area.
- Compact footprint suited to single trays, breeding benches and research shelving.
- Hanging-wire mount for fast repositioning as a trial moves.
- Scales linearly: the Q200 is the same engine at 436 diodes, the Q400 at four panels.

Before you spec it
Where does a quantum board make more sense than a bar?
Small, dense, low-height applications — a single tray, a breeding row, a research shelf — where a 42-inch bar is longer than the area you are lighting. For anything at production scale the DS120S bar or a top-light panel is the better answer — both have published output and coverage figures you can plan a room against.
How does the Q100 relate to the Q200 and Q400?
It is one board. The Q200 is two boards and exactly twice the diode count — 436 against 218 — on the same 210mm width. The Q400 is a four-panel assembly. The engine and the diode type are common across all three, so a trial done on a Q100 scales predictably.
Can it be group-controlled with the rest of the range?
Not documented. The board range is knob-dimmed; the RJ12 group-control scheme used by the TF, TR, DR and SF fixtures and the GC001 controller is not specified for these boards. Ask us before assuming a mixed room can run from one controller.
What PPF does it produce?
We do not publish a figure for the board range because we do not have photometric test data we are willing to stand behind. Ask and we will get measured data from the factory for your configuration rather than quote an estimate.
