What the Mobile Rolling Grow Rack is for
A multi-tier rack on a hand-cranked rolling base, rated to 300kg per tier. Racks sit shoulder to shoulder and open one aisle where you need it, which converts most of a room's aisle allowance into canopy. Steel frame with electrostatic spray and cold galvanising, galvanised steel grating decks, and ABS vacuum-formed trays in 4ft × 8ft as standard.
What you get
- 300kg load rating per tier — the one hard structural number in the system, and the one to design your tray, media and irrigation weight against.
- Hand-cranked rolling base: a block of racks shares a single aisle instead of one aisle per rack.
- Steel frame with electrostatic spray finish over cold galvanising, for a wet, high-humidity room.
- Galvanised steel grating decks under the trays.
- ABS vacuum-formed trays, 4ft × 8ft (1.22 × 2.44m) standard, 3.0mm thick with a 60mm flood depth and UV protection.
- Bench lengths from 2.4m to 9.7m at 1.2m width, or customised; supplied as end, middle and division trays with an aluminium alloy tray frame and valve sump.
- Finish options: white, black, grey or custom.

Before you spec it
How much extra canopy does a rolling system actually give me?
It depends on how many racks share the aisle. A fixed layout needs an aisle between every pair of racks; a rolling block needs one aisle for the whole block. The more racks per block, the larger the gain — we will model it against your room dimensions and your handling requirements rather than quote a generic percentage.
What is the 300kg per tier figure for?
Tray, media, plants and standing water at flood. Wet coco or rockwool over a 4ft × 8ft tray at 60mm flood depth adds up quickly — check your worst case against the rating before you settle on tray depth and media.
Which fixtures go on it?
Can I use it with an ebb-and-flow bench instead of trays?
The tray specification here is already a flood-and-drain build with a valve sump. If you want free-standing rolling benches rather than a multi-tier rack, the Rolling Bench Seedbed is the single-tier equivalent.
